I wrote a detailed criticism/ critique of this book, but it didn’t get published…??? So here’s my concise re-review: The authour spends far too much time plugging his own web sites and software than giving deep suggestions and information. This book may be ok for novices w/ AdSense: a few excellent tidbits here and here, but frankly, you can get far better, far more reliable and far more UNBIASED information from Google’s AdSense homepage and the myriad blogs etc. on AdSense. I’m very suprised that the overall feedback for this book was as high as it is! Save physically the money, go to the source at Google directly.

Joel Comm’s book “The Adsense Code: What Google By no means Told You About Building Money with AdSense,” is among the better books in the show. Google AdWords and AdSense topics are usually leap as one book, but the principles for success are different.

Before readers start drooling over the thought of building money from nothing, know the most vital fact: content counts. The second fact: well-designed sites are key to success. Content first, design second, and Google is, in a huge way, third. That order is crucial to finding regard in Comm’s book, or any of his competitor’s books.

If you have AdSense by now, but have by no means read about the better strategies, this book is for you. If you have a content-obsessed site, finding ways to smartly integrate AdSense will be natural. Comm can help you figure how and where you can use AdSense. It will help to have a general knowledge about how AdSense works.

A huge regard to AdSense in a niche site is that if your customers are simply not interested in what you offer, the ads showed might serve them better than your site did. they came to your site believing you might have what they need, whether it was a product or knowledge. Probably, this is because your site showed well in results of a keyword search on Google. For this same reason, your site will have ads along the lines of what your customer is looking.

Learn to strategically exclude the competition, or off-color ads. Google wants excellent ads on your site. Whomever is advertising wants his excellent ads on your site. Your customer wants excellent ads on your site. And you want excellent ads. By excluding what you consider terrible ads, everyone is pleased. Your click-thru increases, and you make more money.

My credentials: I manage a 300+ page website dedicated to Hungarian culture and products. As a niche site aching for traffic, I use Adwords to attract customers, and AdSense to make some money to pay for the site. Professionally, I am the webmaster for a bilingual, dynamic and hard-coded, 7,500+ page site for a major hospital. Knowing Google is an vital part of my small site, and my large site.

I fully urge “The Adsense Code: What Google By no means Told You About Building Money with AdSense” by Joel Comm.

I despise being harsh, but this book should not be on the shelf. It has to be one of the most disorganized and useless books I ever bought. You don’t need this book to learn adsense since adsense help function is much more up to date and useful. If the book was even organized enough for a excellent reference I may not of felt I wasted my money, but not the case.

If anyone gives his book a excellent review, they are either friends with the author or they can’t tell it like it is. DO NOT BUY!

Harold Davis has not necessarily broken new ground with his “Google Advertising Tools” book. Yet, he’s managed to place together a volume that summarizes successfully the basics of SEO and how to structure your site to maximize return on investment as a lead into Google Advertising at large. Starting with Google AdSense (introduction Google Ads in your site), he works his way into AdWords (buying pay-per-click keyword-based ads) to wrap the book up with a detail discussion about the APIs offered by Google if developing tools to maximize your overall use of Google’s interface and options is up your alley.

If you are new to the field of SEO, this is a nice introduction. If you are veteran with the ins and outs of pay-per-click campaigns or optimizing your site for Search Engines to crawl through it, you are still leap to find a few new useful elements. In any case, I highly urge it as a comprehensive and current reference on marketing your site through Google.

I disagree with the commenter who said that here was nothing beyond the FAQ in this book. This book is sorely needed. The documentation on Google is rugged and the interface to the AdSense application is tough to use and know. This book is well written, gives practical examples, and makes excellent use of screenshots to illustrate workflow. I urge this book to AdSense users at any level.

Google’s AdSense curriculum has allowed anyone to make money from their website. Eric Giguere attempts to clarify how this is done in the book Make Simple Money with Google : Using the AdSense Advertising Curriculum.

This is one of those books that I have a hard time figuring out how to rate. On the positive side, Giguere does a excellent job showing what the AdSense curriculum is, how it works, and how to get set up with it. Here is also quite a bit of notes on how advertising works, as well as how companies can “bid” on keywords to make sure their ads show up more frequently when certain content is showed. The whole book is done as a conversation between the author and a link of people who are asking him how to make money on the web. If you have a website and want to learn about the AdSense curriculum, this part of the book will appeal to you.

The problem I have with the book is focus. In my opinion, far too much of the book is spent on explaining web sites, domains, and how to go about making a website. The people I know who have started using AdSense to pick up a few dollars from their site *by now have a site*! I don’t need an explanation about domains, choosing a site name, and instructions on how to build a page. Been here, done that a *long, long* time ago. The only way I could urge this book in its entirety would be if someone was looking for a money-building chance, and didn’t know squat about websites. And if that’s the case, focusing on building a website just to support your AdSense efforts seems a very tall order…

Nice styling, simple to read, and excellent information about the AdSense curriculum. Unfortunately, well over half the book was off-target in my opinion… Caveat emptor…

After reading the reviews, I have to agree with the majority. This is a book for those who do not have websites or the knowledge about the Internet. I have about 50, of which a link pull about 5000 visitors a day. I was able to skip through a lot of chapters and get to the Adsense part. Using the book, I was able to increase my day after day intake from about to about .00 (that’s over 00.00 a month)and obviously paid for the book.

The best part was that I really didn’t know a part and I e-mailed the author, Eric. HE REPLIED!! He has given a small more insight to my particular situation and it has helped. I reckon that here may be another book on the horizon for those of us who are ready to progress to MEMWG II. I’ll buy it.
